Last year, Allegiance team members Emily Lawless and Jamie Mackey joined their first Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer’s Association walk taught them more about this debilitating disease and the fight to end it. Jamie says her favorite part of the walk was the flower display. Each flower has a color, and each color has a meaning: orange to represent support for the cause; purple to symbolize a loved one lost to the disease; yellow to denote a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia; blue to indicate someone living with it; white to symbolize a cure. Jamie is looking forward to the 2020 walk and hopeful to see a white flower displayed one day!
Allegiance Home Health is proud to support our local Walks to End Alzheimer’s. We recognize Alzheimer’s as one of the leading causes of death and see too many affected daily. Our care team wants to help and find a cure for this disease, and we hope you join us! With team members and patients located from Broward through Indian River County, we have a team for each of our local walks!
We invite you to join one of our teams and join the fight to #EndAlz!
